This Large Swaledale Flower Vase beautifully captures the character of the most wonderful of sheep breeds from the north of England. The Swaledale sheep is so called after the Swaledale Yorkshire valley, as this is from where the breed originates. They are perhaps best known for their curled horns.
This wonderful flower vase has been hand painted. It is this care and attention that means that the textured quality of the rich coat of this animal has been effectively represented. The quality of this hardy and warming coat is captured through skilled design and fine brushstrokes.
